IAF 2.0
In celebration of the five-year anniversary of InterArts Fellowship, we decided to shake things up! This year, IAF will began meeting quarterly (rather than monthly) at sites around NYC (rather than at the Redeemer offices).
Why? Several reasons. We've been filling the Redeemer conference room most months for the last year or more, and moving to larger spaces will give us the opportunity to serve more people, and get more creative in the types of programming we can present. Additionally, as Redeemer moves toward three geographically-based congregations, gathering together around the city will help us be more actively engaged in Redeemer's grassroots efforts to "renew the city socially, spiritually, and culturally." Meeting quarterly for a time, before going back to monthly at some point in the future, will allow us to manage rental costs as well as devote more time to planning these special events.
InterArts Fellowship (IAF) seeks to engage our artistic gifts to bring Gospel wholeness into our faith, art, and culture-making. Through presentations, discussions, and collaborations we exchange ideas and challenge each other to experience faith transforming art and art transforming faith. In our regular gatherings, guest speakers and artists lift us up in our callings, amid the fellowship of the creative community.
