OPEN HANDS LEGAL SERVICES FALL 2011 VOLUNTEER TRAINING

All who are interested in volunteering with Open Hands need to attend one of our biannual training sessions. This training session, geared for both new volunteers and as a refresher course for our current volunteer base, will provide a detailed overview of housing and public benefits law as well as an overview of the New York City Department of Homeless Services.

Open Hands Legal Services, Inc.is a New York not-for-profit corporation that was formed to provide legal services and counseling for the poor and indigent in New York City. We have established a pro bono legal aid desk at an existing soup kitchen and food pantry in the Lower East Side of Manhattan being operated by the The Father's Heart Ministries
