Dave Gibbons - Keynote

Dave Gibbons loves to invest his life in atypical leaders throughout the world: the fringe and the misfits, the outsiders and the under-resourced. He is an activist for cultural innovation who incorporates entrepreneurial mindsets, creative ethos and ancient wisdom from spiritual frameworks to socially active endeavors primarily through XEALOT, a special ops type leadership community. Dave is the author of The Monkey and the Fish and XEALOTS. Dave has served on the Board of World Vision US and helps to guide third-culture faith communities called Newsong. He has four children and has been married to Rebecca for 25 years.
Henry Kaestner - Keynote

Henry Kaestner is the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Bandwidth.com, a telecommunications company serving more than 6,000 business customers, including Google, Pinger and Skype. The company’s values are faith, family, work and fitness (in that order). Henry has also worked at Arthur Andersen, Merrill Lynch and several boutique institutional firms. Together with his business partner, David Morken, he has founded several organizations that help Christians discover the joy of giving, e.g., Sovereign’s Wealth Fund, Durhamcares.org, MinistrySpotlight.org, christiantechnologyInitiative.org. Henry is an elder in the Presbyterian Church of America, and he and his wife live in Durham, NC with their 3 sons.
Dr. Timothy J. Keller - Keynote

Dr. Tim Keller is Founder and Senior Pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church of New York City, which has a weekly worshipping community of 5000 people. He is a New York Times bestselling author, who most recently published The Meaning of Marriage in November 2011. Tim aims to nurture a movement of churches and gospel-centered institutions in NYC and other major global cities. Redeemer has supported more than 150 churches through Redeemer City to City, encouraged more than a dozen ventures through Ei, and deployed thousands of volunteers and resources into programs that serve the poor through Hope for New York.
Shannon Sedgewick Davis - Keynote

Shannon is the CEO of the Bridgeway Foundation, the charitable giving arm of Bridgeway Capital Management, Inc. An attorney, Shannon is a passionate advocate for social justice and international human rights. She is a well-known strategist engaged in promoting peace and ending human atrocities across the globe. Shannon previously served as Vice-President of Geneva Global, and Director of Public Affairs at International Justice Mission. She is currently a board member of several organizations within the US and abroad, including The Elders, Humanity United, Toms Shoes, and Ben Affleck’s Eastern Congo Initiative.
Ross Barrett

Ross co-founded BVM Capital and serves as managing General Partner for two venture funds with an aggregate $36mm of AUM. He also co-founded VC Experts, a data and analytics company. From 2005-2008, he was appointed Commissioner of the Louisiana Airport Authority and served on Governor Jindal’s Small Business and Entrepreneurship transition team. Earlier in his career, Ross worked on Capitol Hill for Senator Bennett Johnston. He is on the Board of Hope for New York and invests in early-stage companies. Ross holds an LL.M. from NYU School of Law, a J.D. from LSU Law School, and a B.A. from SMU.
Brook Hazelton
Brook is a private investor and co-founder of St. James Partners. Previously, he was the managing partner and minority owner of art auction house Phillips de Pury & Company. Before that, he spent five years working internationally with Goldman Sachs and The Carlyle Group. Mr. Hazelton lives in Soho with his wife Erin and their two young children. He is an honors graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School, and has been a part of the Redeemer community since 1996.
Kenny Jahng
Kenny Jahng is CEO of Big Click Syndicate LLC, helping non-profits and ministries with digital marketing and social media strategy. He was previously a partner in a venture catalyst firm assisting start-up companies with brand strategy. Kenny’s expertise also draws from experience with product launches at a traditional ad agency, Fortune 100 brand management & PR team, and a training & development group. Kenny also serves as Media & Innovation Pastor at Liquid Church, one of New Jersey's fastest growing multi-site churches. He earned his B.A. in economics from Duke University, MBA in Strategic Marketing & Entrepreneurial Leadership from Columbia Business School, and M. Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary. Kenny spent a year as a ministry associate intern with Ei helping to implement its online footprint and now serves as a member of the Ei Steering Committee.
Bethany Jenkins

Bethany is Founder and President of The Park Forum, a nonprofit that seeks to plant urbanites in the Word daily through a variety of media platforms. Prior to founding The Park Forum, Bethany worked in communications at the New York Stock Exchange, in public diplomacy and public affairs at the State Department, and on Capitol Hill for Jennifer Dunn and Joe Scarborough. Bethany also serves as a special projects consultant to Redeemer Presbyterian Church and as an advisory board member of eBible. Bethany received her B.A. from Baylor University and her J.D. from Columbia Law School.
Susanna Kohly

Susanna is a co-founder of 100cameras, winner of the 2010 Ei Competition (Non-Profit, Arts Category), where she served as Executive Director and later Field Coordinator. She currently lives in Los Angeles, where she works in Marketing with Google and focuses on increasing usership and engagement on Google+ among non-profits. Prior to this position, she worked at Merchandise Market in a variety of sales and marketing roles. Susanna has a degree from Florida State University and is originally from Miami, Florida. She enjoys using photography to raise awareness of the beauty and brokenness of the world.
Tim Lucas

Tim is Founder and Lead Pastor of Liquid Church, an innovative congregation that has three metro campuses across New Jersey and an online global community through Liquidchurch.com. Launched in 2007, Liquid has more than 2,000 worshipers that meet in the public marketplace and that serve their cities. CNN and The New York Times have spotlighted Liquid’s innovative outreach and cultural engagement approaches. A graduate of Wheaton College, Tim is the author of Jesus & the Drag Queen: When Christians Leave Their Comfort Zone, which will be released in September 2012.
Catherine Rohr

Catherine is the Founder of Defy Ventures, a nonprofit that offers leadership development to men who were involved in gangs or were formerly incarcerated. Defy provides career development, education, and social leadership opportunities. Catherine brings her experience as founder and CEO of the Prison Entrepreneurship Program (PEP). The results included a return-to-prison rate of less than 10%, an employment rate of 98%, and the inception of over 60 businesses by its graduates. Prior to PEP, Catherine worked in venture capital and private equity. Catherine received a BS degree in Business Administration from University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business.
Christian Schnedler

Christian has been a member of the Redeemer community since 2006 and Ei lay leader since 2010. He has spent the past three years providing a variety of services as a consultant in the physical security space and through TangentVector, a creative media agency Christian co-founded in 2009. Prior to this role Christian served as a business development analyst, project manager, and program manager at a small Israeli firm that produces video surveillance and access control solutions. Christian has a Master's of Engineering and Bachelor of Science from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He resides in Greenwich Village.
Andrew Sobel

Andrew helps companies and individuals build clients for life. He is the bestselling author of Power Questions, All for One, Making Rain, and Clients for Life. His clients include Citigroup, Ernst & Young, Xerox, Deloitte, and others. Andrew’s articles and work have appeared in publications such as The New York Times and the Harvard Business Review. Prior to starting his own consulting firm, Andrew spent fifteen years at Gemini Consulting, where he was an SVP and Country CEO. Andrew earned his B.A. at Middlebury College and his M.B.A. at Dartmouth’s Tuck School. He and his wife attend Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
John Stahl-Wert

Dr. John Stahl-Wert serves as the President of Serving Leaders and the CEO of Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation (PLF), a faith-based organization that provides leadership development as well as training and support in entrepreneurship. During his eighteen years at PLF, John has created or co-created multiple new businesses and organizations, including Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience, Amachi Pittsburgh, The Union Project, Pittsburgh Servant Leaders, The Leaders Collaborative, and SHIP, LLC. He is the author or co-author of six books, including The Serving Leader, Ten Thousand Horses and With: A True Story. John lives in Pittsburgh with his wife and two daughters.
Chuck Stetson

Chuck is a Managing Director of PEI Funds, a New York-based private equity firm that he founded. He is on the board of several venture-backed companies and a non-resident scholar at Baylor University’s Institute for Studies of Religion. The New York Times, Newsweek and TIME have featured his work, and he has appeared on FOX, CBS and NBC. Chuck has been published in The Harvard Business Review, Pratt’s Guide to Venture Capital and The Journal of Corporate Strategy. He holds a B.A. from Yale University, an M.B.A. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business, and an LL.D. from Concordia University-Portland.
Sebastian Traeger

Sebastian is Co-Founder of FiveStreet.com, a new real estate startup. Sebastian also co-founded and served as the CEO of Razoo.com, a social fundraising platform that has raised over $78M for over 10,000 causes. He also co-founded, built and sold two web businesses: Christianity.com and Silas Partners. In 1998, Sebastian helped launch Village Phone, leading its operations in El Salvador. He started his career at the management-consulting firm Dean & Company. Sebastian is a graduate of Princeton University and lives in Washington, D.C., where he is married, has three children, and serves as an elder at Capitol Hill Baptist Church.
Leslie Van Orsdel
Leslie joined Bloomberg in 1988 as a specialist in Fixed Income and is now part of the leadership team in its Data Products division. Prior to this position, she led the development of new commercial models and structures for Data Solutions and headed Other Industries. She has also worked on the Financial Business Development team and the Global Fixed Income and Transaction Products business and sales team. Previously, Leslie was a futures and options trader, following a brief career as a Wealth Manager. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont and a member of the Ei Steering Committee.
Calvin Wong

Calvin is Co-Founder and CEO of ICE Lounge Media, a technology startup focused on building high-value social communities. Calvin was COO for Appssavvy, an activity advertising technology startup that reached 100M uniques and 1B page views per month. He also co-founded Community Connect, Inc. (CCI), a leading publisher of niche social networks. Under his leadership, the CCI network collectively generated over 1B monthly page views and became one of the highest trafficked online networks. Calvin is a graduate of New York University, is married, has two children, attends Presbyterian Church New Providence, and advises several tech companies and startups.
Karen Wu

Karen is a senior associate at Perlman & Perlman, LLP, where she counsels public charities, private foundations, fundraising professionals, and for-profit companies. She is a board member of Open Hands Legal Services and Townsend Harris High School Alumni Association. She is Pro Bono Counsel to the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association and the Taiwan Mission Foundation, and Co-Chair of the Asian American Bar Association of New York’s Pro Bono and Community Service Committee. Karen received the New York State Bar Association's 2012 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award. Karen holds her B.A. from Wellesley College and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
Katherine Leary Alsdorf

Katherine established the Center for Faith & Work at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, where she became a Christian mid-career. Prior to this, she served twenty years in the high tech industry. She was CEO of Pensare, Inc., an online management education company, and CEO of One Touch Systems, Inc., a hardware/software products company. Before that, she was President of Private Satellite Network. She also worked in various consulting, sales, and marketing roles, primarily in the technology sector. She received her B.A. from Wittenberg University and M.B.A. from University of Virginia’s Darden School. She has taken seminary classes at Regent College.
Calvin Chin

Before joining the Center for Faith & Work, Calvin worked in the finance industry for seventeen years. Most recently, he was a director in the investment banking group of Burnham Securities. He also gained investment advisory experience at Chase Manhattan and Sanford C. Berstein & Co., where he managed relationships with high net worth individuals. Calvin holds a B.A. from the University of Buffalo and an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business. Calvin serves on the advisory board of Hope for New York and on the College of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Advisory Council at the University of Buffalo.
