As individuals and in teams, many practioners in the Health Care Fellowship have engaged in ways to serve the needs of the city both through, and in addition to, their regular practices.
Donít Walk By - Medical Volunteers NeededMedical volunteers including nurses, doctors, medical students, and social workers are needed for Don't Walk By, a homeless outreach happening every Saturday in February. Medical volunteers will be utilizing triage/assessment skills as well as basic first aid, determining the best option for those cared for during outreach times. Please contact Kathy Kiesel at email@example.com for more information and to sign up.
Volunteer Podiatrist Needed with Bowery Mission Medical Service
The Bowery Mission Medical Service is in need of a podiatrist to serve at a clinic for the homeless and uninsured. Because many homeless individuals sleep sitting up, they can develop severe swelling in their feet and legs, and this can progress to serious health problems. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to volunteer.
