FSM Summer Chat Series. June 8th, July 13th, and August 10th from 12-1:30 pm after the ESAM Redeemer service at Hunter College.
Join us for a three-part panel discussion series focused on questions such as finance as a calling, work-life balance, finding a mentor, loving your co-workers, and other practical topics. This series is specifically geared towards new arrivals to the city starting out in finance as well as summer interns. Each session will include pizza and the opportunity to mix with those a few years out in the industry in order to connect with possible mentors.
Sunday, June 8th: Finance as a Calling: How can you know if you are really called to finance? Does your work in finance have intrinsic value for the kingdom of God? What qualities should set the Christian in finance apart?
Sunday, July 13th: Finance in Community: How can you find Christian community in your workplace? How can you find and best utilize a mentor? What approach should you take towards sharing the gospel in the workplace?
Sunday, August 10th: Finance as Stewardship: How do you apply the principle of Sabbath to your life and time with God? How much money should you give and how early should you start? How can you use prayer as a resource for workplace decision-making?
Click Here to Register for the FSM summer mentoring program.
We will follow up with those who register and try to pair them with a possible mentor buddy (we also encourage mentees to attend as many of the summer chat series events as possible since the material is meant for them). Please Note: The mentoring buddy program is geared towards those who have already accepted an offer somewhere (ie, This is not a job hunting service ). At this time we regret that we only have mentor pairings available for those just beginning their Wall Street careers, but hope to expand the network as we grow.
