Ei Network Update

Greetings,

We are excited to announce three additions to our leadership team:
  • Jorge Torres (Programming)
  • Len Cicio (Hospitality)
  • Christian Schnedler (Communcations)

These three will come alongside our current leaders, Kristie Kang and Grace Kang, to help plan the monthly fellowship meetings. One new initiative is a discussion on Linked In which serves as a follow-up to our monthly meetings. Check out the discussion from October's meeting and see what a gospel-centered entrepreneur is all about.

Join us in welcoming these new leaders and seek them out if you are interested in serving on one of their teams.

Sincerely,

Calvin Chin
Spotlight

100cameras is committed to reducing oppression and violence in order to break the cycles of poverty in communities they engage. By putting a camera in the hands of a child, they are able to raise awareness and capital to empower sustainable growth within a community. Photography allows children to have their own perspective, while giving others the opportunity to see the world through their eyes. 100cameras believes that the seemingly small voice of a child can enable great change.

While their vision is motivated by their faith, 100cameras is not, by definition, a faith-based organization. Each founder has their own story for how they individually experience God and, together, these stories motivated and formed the organization.

Join them as they pool time, talents, and resources to create outlets for positive change in the world through the voice of photography.

POWER
by: Katherine Leary Alsdorf

Many of us may know what the third temptation of Jesus was - the temptation of power. (Matthew 4:8-11)  The temptation of power lures each of us daily, especially in our work lives but probably in every single human interaction. What causes or enables power? Why don't Christians want to discuss it? How does power shape us? What privilege comes with power? How do we think about power in light of how Jesus claimed it and used it?

NOV 15 - Ei Fellowship

For November's meeting, we'll focus on the nuts and bolts of starting a venture. Whether you're developing the next hot iPhone app or selling your wares on eBay, we'll cover the fundamentals that you need to master in order to start things off on the right foot.  Please join us and hear from entrepreneurs who've gone through the launch process and have lived to tell you all about it.  We'll cover the basics of entity formation, product development, sales, and more. And as always, there will be ample time for fellowship and networking.

Please RSVP by email to ei@redeemer.com.
