Hello,

Do you have an extra pep in your step? It must be spring. We are coming out of our caves to focus on some worthwhile pursuits. In a city that offers so much, what is your criteria for worthwhile pursuits? Is it exploring your calling in the marketplace and finding others who share similar passions? Then come join us and meet for-profit and not-for-profit leaders and supporters in our church community.

Another place to find worthwhile pursuits is at the 2011 Hope for New York Spring Benefit. Attend in order to learn from our partner about ways to serve NYC.

Sincerely,

Calvin Chin

Telma Benvenuti

"Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all else shall be added unto you.” This truth has guided, grounded and blessed me in my calling to serve various industries in the realm of public relations. Being an entrepreneur is a calling of God; having a knack for PR is a gift of God. I love business and the creative aspect of influencing the media. Standing strong in dealing with my imperfections, and those of others, as well as personal and world crises, comes only with applying the eternal, universal principals of the Bible. This has been my solid ground, my rock.

Telmiza’s prior experience includes serving as an in-house publicist for Black, Starr & Frost with clientele including Lawrence D. Rockefeller and Aretha Franklin.

REDEMPTION
James K.A. Smith, Published in COMMENT, March 2010
The covenant God of Israel and Father of Jesus Christ is an extravagant, inventive Creator who—in what almost looks like madness—entrusted the care and unpacking of creation to us, his creatures, commissioned as his image bearers. Deputized and gifted to carry out this mission of image-bearing cultivation, we are to work and play, to make love and art, to till the earth and transform its fruit into our daily bread while also incarnating our most outlandish dreams in cathedrals and skyscrapers. Such image-bearer culture-making will be most fruitful when it runs with the grain of the universe—when our work and play runs in the grooves of God's life-giving norms.
