Guest Writer Daniel Nayeri

This month we welcome Daniel Nayeri. His latest book Straw House, Wood House, Brick House, Blow has been described as stand-alone novellas [that] riff, dizzyingly and delightfully, on influences as varied as The Wizard of Oz and westerns, Mad Max and slang-laden teen diaries, The Arabian Nights and police procedurals, "Sleeping Beauty" and the sardonic Death of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. Daniel has been called, "the writer's equivalent of a singer with a four-octave range."

Join us for a reading, after which Daniel will discuss the inspiration behind his unique collection, the responsibilities of artists as thought leaders, and the meaning of purposeful art. Q&A and discussion to follow.
