Hello,

Our projects tend to orient us towards the future, so much so that at times we find the present irritating and uncomfortable. Living so focused on our ventures, missions, ideas, it takes the gospel to tether us to the very real, material present. The kingdom of God is Tomorrow and Today, making the mundane, the now, part of eternity. With knowledge of perfection’s arrival we must practice living in the moment. Dare we be heaven-bound inattentively? Art allows us to be here and there.

Be present, live for tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Kenyon and Maria

Julian Leong

Half man, half man. Fully sinner, saved by grace. He is an actor, playwright, and soon-to-be husband from Orange County, having moved to NY late 2009 in response to God’s call. He has been a member of Redeemer since Spring 2010, serving joyfully as a leader for the Actor’s Group since June 2010. Julian aims to know God and make Him known.

Please pray for Julian's discernment with long-term goals, that his fiancee and he continue to cultivate a loving God-centered relationship as they approach marriage, and for Spirit-led wisdom as an actor in the industry.

Father of Faith-Based Diplomacy
Rob Moll, Published in CT, Sept 2008
Doug Johnston is going where few foreign policy experts have gone before.

In Pakistan's North West Frontier Province, on the border with Afghanistan where many believe Osama bin Laden is hiding with local support, Douglas Johnston walked into one of the most infamous of the region's madrassahs. In the West, media had identified the religious school as being linked to the 7/7 London bombing. "The situation was tense," Johnston recalls. Israel was fighting Hezbollah in Lebanon. Because of U.S. support for the war and its invasions in Iraq and Afghanistan, Americans were not considered friends. Leaders of the madrassah warned Johnston to say nothing provocative. But as the youngest ever to qualify for the command of a nuclear submarine, Johnston is accustomed to tense situations.
