Hello,
We cannot make sense of the world with reason alone. The work of the artist can serve to demonstrate the subtle reality of meaning, which reason seeks to examine. In our communities and within our churches artists are needed to bear witness to the mysterious realm of the human heart. When the inexpressible is conveyed through the power of art, there is Beauty to be found. Join us at the next quarterly InterArts Fellowship, July 15 at Calvary/St. George's 7PM, as artists in our community seek to illuminate the most beautiful object in the world, the Word of God. Performances featuring Max McLean, Spark and Echo, guest lecture by Ena Heller. Sincerely, ![]() |
![]() Paul Buccheri This summer we are thrilled to exhibit the art work of Paul Buccheri at the Redeemer Offices (1359 Broadway, 4th floor). Please plan on stopping by to view this collection of work during office hours (9:30-5) or before and after Redeemer events. Paul Buccheri started his art career in the early sixties under the guidance of Knox Martin at the Art Students League. Paul's work is heavily influenced by the Abstract Expressionists, specifically the painter Willem de Kooning. Yet his use of line reflects a studied draftsmanship culled from his years of experience as an engraver, medallion maker, and foundry model maker. Paul's fluid ink works and dynamic movement also express a strong interest in Asian art. On view starting July 7th. Acting Class taught by Luann Jennings and Michael Markham from July 18 to Aug 11 (8 sessions). Email your resume to actingthepage@gmail.com or visit their website for more information.
The Centurion project, a Christian musical theater production, is looking for volunteer actors for a 3 1/2 hour workshop, dinner included. For more information please contact Debbie Orloff, debbieorloff@yahoo.com. |
