Hello,

Does the start of another year bring you hope or anxiety? Another year of waking up in your body and longing for beauty promises many experiences, great and small, which will offer a taste of beauty yet leave you with a hunger for more. As artists we live in the tension between inspiration and aspiration, but the hope of the gospel gives us reason to expect much to be born of these embodied longings. Through Jesus Christ, God gives us Himself to be the satisfaction of even our most inconsolable desires. The potential in each new day that we awake in our bodies is limited only by his goodness, which has no limit. He is jealous for our desire and longs to redeem our bodily lives at great cost to his own.

Join us January 16th for InterArts Fellowship with Rev. Abe Cho, NYC Ballet principal dancer, Jennifer Ringer, conductor Ken-David Masur, tap artist Andrew Nemr and hip-hop artist Andy Mineo to explore the theme BODY: LIFE.

Sincerely,

Kenyon and Maria

Daniel Nayeri
Daniel Nayeri

Daniel has attended Redeemer since 2000 and has been a Youth Group leader since 2006. Daniel has helped coordinate events such as the annual Pie Bake and Restaurant Night, which connects our youth to the TAOST school in Uganda, teaching them how to be involved in both our community at Redeemer as well as the global community. Daniel will also be our guest speaker at the Writers vocation group on Monday, January 30th. Read his latest book, Straw House, Wood House, Brick House, Blow, that Kirkus called, "Provocative and deeply satisfying," Bookpage named, "a delightful amalgam of the high and the low, the silly and the sublime," and that the BCCB gave a starred review for its "breathtakingly vivid word smithery."

GOSPEL & CULTURE RESOURCE
NT Wright

As we continue to explore how the work of Christ affects our work, take a look at NT Wright's talk from his Gospel & Culture Lecture, "After You Believe." Here he reminds us that in Christ, we become more fully ourselves, reflecting "some particular facet of God's glory into the world" through the power of the Spirit.

JOIN THE FAITH & WORK NIGHT TEAM!
We are seeking people to join a central team that will help to execute this new monthly format for vocation groups. While the vocation group leaders will continue leading the individual breakouts, we need greeters, ushers, people to help with set-up, etc. Please email amilee.watkins@redeemer.com ASAP!

"GLIMPSE LEADERS NEEDED!
The Glimpse events from our Gospel & Culture Conference in November created such a buzz that we just couldn't let them die! Seeking 1 Glimpse per congregation per month in the new year. If you led a Glimpse for the conference, consider repeating it so more people can experience it with you! Spread the word and take a look at ideas HERE. Send your proposal to cfw@redeemer.com or submit online at: www.faithandwork.org/glimpses
