Join us for our very first official monthly meeting of the International Diplomacy vocation group. We will continue meeting one Sunday a month immediately preceding the ESPM service at Hunter College. All who work in the realm of international relations and diplomacy are welcome.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 4:00-6:00PM

Please RSVP using the link below.
As we discussed at the picnic, we would like to look over the next few months at characters in the bible that have changed nations. This month we'll look at Esther, so if you get the chance to read Esther - Chapter 1 - Chapter 8 vs 2, and then think about these four questions for discussion:
1) The author of Esther highlights at least four examples where Esther finds favour (2:8-9, 15-16,17, 5:2-3). Consider the times that God has shown you his favour in your work/career. We would love if a few of you could share these experiences
2) What lessons can we learn from Haman's life, and how did his character flaws ultimately lead to his fall?
3) How did Esther's decision in 4:15-17 and King Xerxes decision in 7:6-8 not to act in haste affect the end result?
4) When Esther was first brought to the Citadel of Susa (2:8) she did not know her greater calling would be to go before the King and plead for the lives of her people, nevertheless at each part of the journey she did her best in what was before her. What lessons can we draw from this for our areas of work?
We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday and don't worry there will be plenty of time for us to all get to know each other better too!
We are really excited about this group and can't wait to kick-it-off!!
Cheers,
Kathryn, Ye-min, Leah
