Need a Freelance Designer

Hello,
I work in the Marketing Dept. at a Financial Services company (an Options Exchange), and we have a need for a part-time freelance designer.

The designer will create offline materials (brochures, contact cards, etc.) and will also be responsible for setting the creative direction of online material, which will then be executed by a production artist. Therefore the designer will need to be skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and basic Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. He should also be knowledgeable of print production techniques and requirements, as well, since he will be coordinating with our printers.

Skill/knowledgeable of current and emerging trends/technologies in web design, such as HTML, Flash, motion graphics, widgets, video, etc., will also be needed, but the designer will not necessarily need to use these programs/technologies since a production artist will handle execution. This knowledge of trends and developments will help the designer direct creative that takes full advantage of what interactive can do, however.

The designer will be able to work from home, but must be available for face-to-face meetings at least once a week at our office (if needed) for kickoffs, creative reviews, etc. We currently have a budget of 15-20 hours per week, depending on workload, and the position pays in the $30-35/hour range depending on experience. This will be a long-term position that may need more hours from the freelance designer. Knowledge/experience in Financial Services is a plus.

If you are interested in the position, feel free to forward your resume and portfolio to John Moss at jmoss@ise.com.
