What this group involves: monthly meetings (last Monday of the month from January to May 2012) to gather in fellowship and seek spiritual equipment to thrive in our jobs in the public sphere. We will join in a time of sharing and teaching each month, speaking to unique aspects of faith and government/political work.
What this is not: an attempt, in any way whatsoever, to speak to a particular political ideology or promote specific policies.
What this is: recognition that the faith community and public service are not mutually exclusive. And that there are many unique challenges and opportunities to serve for those at the intersection of both. You, who have already been dedicating your career to government and politics as men and women of faith, are living proof of this. And you need a ministry and voice in the faith community to support your work.
For those who: work for a political figure in government or on specific political initiatives, work within the political and democratic processes that elect these officials to office, have run or are contemplating a run for office yourself.
