The Gotham Fellowship
How might a church, committed to the renewal of the city,
invest in the next generation to impact New York City’s
culture and marketplace with the fullness of the gospel?
Introducing the Gotham Fellowship
Since its inception in January of 2003 Redeemer’s Center for Faith and Work (CFW) has committed itself to equipping, connecting, and mobilizing the Redeemer community for gospel-centered transformation in the workplace. A real and pressing need has come to our attention. There is a strong desire for deeper and more regular reflection on the day-to-day implications of faith to work, as well as a supportive community to make a sustainable commitment for cultural renewal.
Through conversations with the congregation and consultation with a number of faith and work leaders, we concluded that more theological, intellectual, spiritual, and communal depth is required for sustainable integration of faith and work. To this end, the Center for Faith and Work will launch the Gotham Fellowship in the fall of 2008, which seeks to connect the three elements of gospel worldview, spiritual mentorship, and committed community for the social, cultural, and spiritual renewal of New York City. We invite you to learn more about the Gotham Fellowship and consider getting involved.
The Gotham Fellowship is a nine-month program designed for young professionals who are currently employed full-time in New York City and have at least two years of working experience.

Our goals
Gospel Worldview Development: The core of our program is the commitment to consider how the gospel impacts every area of life and culture. We will seek to develop a worldview that is gospel-centered, deep and rigorous enough to evaluate the diverse and challenging environments of NYC.
Spiritual and Personal Development: Critical to gospel worldview formation is the transformation of the individual. The fellowship will focus upon personal, spiritual and professional development through developing relationships with experienced, seasoned Christians.
Community Formation: The Fellowship will provide a unique community of like peers to engage the hard issues of living in NYC. We recognize the critical role of community and commitment in creating a larger and more sustainable impact in the culture. This community will consist of a diverse group of professionals committed to urban cultural renewal.
How to get involved with the Gotham Fellowship
This Fellowship will require the support of the entire Redeemer community. Please consider how you can partner with this vision of cultural renewal.
