A success story of creative and purposeful renewal.
DUMBO, originally known by the name of Fulton Ferry Landing because of the ferry service to Manhattan, was coined as an irreverent moniker in the late 70s. The creators of the acronym were the artists who started the exodus from SoHo across the East River in search of affordable live/work spaces, and found themselves in abandoned warehouses. Before the artists, DUMBO was home to some of the most important industrial firms in the late nineteenth and early twentieth scenery America.
Now one of New York City's premier arts districts, DUMBO is a rich mosaic of art galleries, small business, residential living and jaw dropping park vistas. This walking tour examines four centuries of use in DUMBO, specifically the repurposing of a bustling manufacturing center into a premier arts and residential district.

Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe!" Ps 105: vs. 1 & 4), and we'll also talk about what happens when we dedicate our lives to something, and God's faithfulness when we are dedicated to Him.
