Anna and Sean

Anna & Sean -
Working Proof

Anna Corpron and Sean Auyeung started Working Proof as a way to cultivate a community of art curators. They saw young people lacking the knowledge, resources, or a place to buy prints. They envisioned a website where people could buy affordable, exclusive prints from emerging artists while supporting the local community by a portion of the proceeds being donated to charities.

In 2008/2009 they entered the Business Plan Competition and through the help of the Ei comminuty, Anna and Sean turned their idea into an operating venture. Their start-up won the arts category in the 2009 Competition, celebrated its one year anniversary, and  participated in an arts show in San Francisco.

WHY WE NEED ARTISTS
by: Tim Keller
Why does the Church and why does Christianity need artists? While we have artists because they have the ability to see the greater reality, we need artists because… we can’t understand truth without art. You see, reason tells me about the truth, but I really cannot grasp what it means; I can’t understand it without art... Unless you take a truth and you image it – which of course is art – you don’t know what it means. If you cannot visualize it, you don’t have a sense of it on your heart.

BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION
We are heading for the home stretch. We received executive summaries for 23 for-profit ventures and 17 not-for-profit ventures. Two panels of judges narrowed that group down to 18 and 12, respectively. Please pray for the judges to have wisdom in evaluating and selecting the people and plans that possess the best gospel impact and opportunity to launch with the abundant resources of the Redeemer community. The finals will be on March 2nd and March 16th
