Anna & Sean - Working Proof Anna Corpron and Sean Auyeung started Working Proof as a way to cultivate a community of art curators. They saw young people lacking the knowledge, resources, or a place to buy prints. They envisioned a website where people could buy affordable, exclusive prints from emerging artists while supporting the local community by a portion of the proceeds being donated to charities. In 2008/2009 they entered the Business Plan Competition and through the help of the Ei comminuty, Anna and Sean turned their idea into an operating venture. Their start-up won the arts category in the 2009 Competition, celebrated its one year anniversary, and participated in an arts show in San Francisco. GOSPEL & CULTURE LECTURES: FEB 27, 2011 @ 1:00 PM Adrienne Chaplin: Why Art Matters for God's Sake Adrienne Dengerink Chaplin gained her doctorate in philosophy from the Free University in Amsterdam. She has published articles and chapters in various books and journals, is married with two children, and currently lives as a free-lance writer and speaker in Cambridge, UK. Adrienne will speak on the importance of art for human flourishing. We received executive summaries for 23 for-profit ventures and 17 not-for-profit ventures. Two panels of judges narrowed that group down to 18 and 12, respectively. Please pray for the judges to have wisdom in evaluating and selecting the people and plans that possess the best gospel impact and opportunity to launch with the abundant resources of the Redeemer community.
