A cultural event (1) based in New York City, (2) experienced in community, (3) which points toward evidence of God’s glory and Sovereignty over all things.
The Friday night cultural events are intended to point toward glimpses of God’s glory and His sovereignty over all things. In Rev. 21 we see that God is at work preparing his bride, and this bride is a holy city—a city designed and built by God Himself. God has intimately invited us into this redemptive story, and when we understand how the story ends, the way we see and engage the city around us changes.
By starting on Friday night in active communal engagement of the culture of this city, we hope to draw our attention towards God's work in the world and see his love and compassion for areas often overlooked or neglected. Continuing this theme on Saturday, we will come together as a larger community to hear from and interact with practitioners across various sectors who will showcase their work in ways that likewise point towards God's work in the world and His ultimate glory.
This conference aims to:
- Encourage societal leaders' discernment of God at work in the world renewing all things, both inside and outside his church;
- Facilitate shared experiences and responses to this work, emphasizing the importance of community in cultural engagement; and
- Evidence the work of the Holy Spirit with examples of cultural renewal in New York City, recognizing His transforming grace both in individual hearts and the world.
This conference is open to all members of and active participants in the Redeemer congregation as well as those from other NYC churches who have been or would like to be actively involved in the ministry of CFW. See DETAILS page for how the conference will be shaped.
