Redeemer's Arts Ministry announces its sixth annual Fall Juried Fine Art Exhibition

Guidelines for submission

2-dimensional paintings, drawings, multi-media works will be reviewed by a panel of artists. Dimensions should not exceed 50” on any side, though there is some limited space for works up to 84”.

A maximum of three works may be submitted for consideration. Send jpg images to Maria Fee, maria@redeemer.com, with a resolution no higher than 150 dpi and measuring no longer than 7 inches in either width or height. Please attached images to an email that has the following information for each piece:
- Artist’s name
- Title
- Medium
- Size

Selected works must be ready to hang. FRAMED WORK MUST BE WIRED FOR HANGING. Photo and paper works must be framed or have a protective coating. Note: works will hang in hallway office spaces or in high-traffic areas in which food is regularly served. Any pieces that are heavy, fragile, easily damaged, will not be accepted. Works for exhibition only (“Not for Sale”) will be considered. This should also be designated with the submission.

Works in the FALL EXHIBITION will be given a price by the artist, and sold online. Proceeds from sales of artwork will be divided equally between the artist and Redeemer ministries selected to benefit from the exhibition, 50% each. Because the artist will benefit financially, the donation portion is not tax-deductible.

Artists should carry insurance on their art. Redeemer will not insure art for theft or damage.

If the work is selected, we will ask for additional information including purchase price and a brief artist’s statement. Out of town submissions are responsible for delivery and pick up of their work and should not exceed 30” in any dimension (we do not have storage space for their packaging).

Artists of selected works will grant permission in writing to Redeemer Presbyterian Church for reproduction of images for use in any press releases, publications, catalogues, invitations, or other print materials pertaining to RPC.

Exhibition dates: Friday, October 22, 2010 - early January 2011
Deadline for submissions (must be received no later than): September 24, 2010
Notification for accepted work: October 4
Delivery dates for selected works during office hours (9-5): October 12-14
Opening reception: Friday, October 22
Pick-up of unsold works: early January, dates TBA
