Executive Summary Guidelines

Phase I:  Apply Online and upload Executive Summary along with your resume and the contact information of a member of Redeemer or an Affiliate Church.

This initial phase of the Competition is intended to screen for the most promising candidates.  Based on a review by judges, candidates selected to advance to the next phase will be notified by December 9, 2010.

 

Executive summaries will be a MAXIMUM of 3 pages. They should include:

I. An Overview of the Venture (100 words)

What is your venture supposed to do?

Why will it have a Gospel-centered social impact or make an impact for the greater good?

II. An Assessment of the Problem or Need (100 words)

What problem are you addressing and why is there a demand for this venture?

How is this problem currently being addressed?

III. Describe Your Unique Solution (800 words)

What is your proposed “solution” and how is it unique or innovative?

Identify competitors currently in this market.

Please discuss the sector or industry and it's key success factors.

What is your business model? How will you deliver the solution (service or product) to your intended  customers? How will you generate revenue (e.g. sales or donations)?

Tell us how you plan to ensure growth and sustainability of your venture?

Tell us how you plan to fund the venture. What is your estimated budget and sources of funds?

IV. Qualifications of the Management Team (300 words)

Who will make this happen?

Tell us about your leadership team and their relevant experiences.

The experience and social assets you bring to the venture.

V. Summary – How can the Entrepreneurship Initiative help your venture (200 words)

Based on your knowledge of the Entrepreneurship Initiative, how can we be of assistance?

What will you do with your venture if you do not win the competition?

How can you help the Ei or broaden church community?
