REDEEMER ENTREPRENEURSHIP INITIATIVE NETWORK

TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT


The Redeemer Entrepreneurship Initiative (EI) Network is a private, non-profit organization that exists solely for the benefit of its members. Founded in April 2006, membership in the EI Network consists of Redeemer Presbyterian Church’s attendees, members, and business associates.

Code of Conduct: By joining the EI Network members agree to the following:

  1. The purpose of EI Network is to facilitate professional networking and communication among its members through such methods as an online membership database, email exchange, requests for services, and periodic networking meetings.

  2. Membership is open to entrepreneurs who have an established venture or who plan/intend to launch a viable venture in the current calendar year, members of Redeemer’s Entrepreneurs Fellowship, and the professional contacts of members of Redeemer’s EI Network.

            Examples of eligible applicants:

    1. Redeemer members or attendees with a proven entrepreneur background or those intend to launch a viable venture in the current calendar year.

    2. Attendees of the annual Entrepreneurship Forum 

    3. Professional contacts of any of the above groups (approved by the Redeemer EI Network Administrators)


      Examples of ineligible applicants:

    4. People interested in entrepreneurship but no proven track record as an entrepreneur nor a current business plan to launch a venture 

    5. Recruiters or salespeople looking to market to the Redeemer EI Network.

  3. Members will conduct themselves with professionalism when posting messages on or through the EI Network. Members will respect the privacy of other members. If another member asks you to cease private communication with them, you will do so at once.

  4. Members recognize and assume the risks inherent in Internet communication, and will act accordingly. Such risks may include, but are not limited to, intercepted messages, lost messages, accidental or intentional forwarding of mail, and so on.

  5. By using the Redeemer EI Network, Members agree to terms of this User Agreement. In addition, Members agree not to advertise, market, or otherwise attempt to sell themselves, their services or products to other member of the EI Network. If the EI Network is alerted of activity that is in violation of this Agreement or the privacy rights of any Member, we reserve the right to terminate the violating member’s access and participation in the group.

  6. Members understand that the LinkedIn administrators have access to their contact information, and while protected by privacy policies, the EI Network cannot guarantee complete security of this data as we do not administer these servers.

  7. Out of respect for members' privacy, members will agree to never divulge another member's identity, address, or email content to a party outside the original communication without that member's prior express consent except where required by law.

  8. Members will not post any content in their membership profile or email correspondence, including any links, which would violate the property rights of others. Such content includes, but is not limited to, unauthorized copyrighted text, images, software, documents, trade secrets, infringing trademarks, or other confidential proprietary information.

  9. Members agree not to post any illegal, obscene, offensive or otherwise inappropriate language or content on the EI Network.

  10. Members will not use language or exchange correspondence that is libelous, defamatory, or which discloses private or personal matters concerning any person without that person’s prior consent on the EI network.

  11. Members will provide the EI Network with current and correct contact information and ensure that the information in the online membership database is kept current.

  12. Members agree not to abuse the EI Network. Members understand and agree to use the EI Network for the purpose stated above and will not make solicitations for donations, political campaigns or actions, petition drives, chain letters, hoax messages, pyramid schemes, and the like. They will not send unsolicited bulk email using the EI Network contacts or addresses learned from membership in said group, if such e-mail could reasonably be expected to provoke complaints from its recipients.

  13. Members agree to not use the EI Network Group LinkedIn facilities to conduct or solicit any illegal activity nor any activity that infringes the rights (including property rights) of others.

  14. Members agree to keep their login access secure and agree not provide or disclose their login access. Members are responsible for any statement or action knowingly performed under their login id.



EI Network Operating Policies:

Your use of EI Network facilities as an EI Network member affirms your agreement to the following operating policies:

  1. Members agree to hold the EI Network, Redeemer Presbyterian Church and its administrators, harmless from any legal action they may take against any individual member or members.
  2. The EI Network Executive Board members volunteer their time. They can assume no liability for the acts of any member or of the group as a whole.
  3. Unless members are participating in an area that requires anonymity, they will use real names in communications.
  4. No member is authorized to speak on behalf of the EI Network to the press or any person outside the EI Network without the express permission of the EI Network Executive Board.
  5. The EI website content is the copyrighted private property of the EI Network or of its members; it is specifically not in the public domain. Fair-use rules apply, but you may not distribute such content or derive other works from it without the express permission of the copyright holder(s).
  6. The EI Network has the right to contract some or all of its services with outside providers for some of the services provided to members. While due care is taken to select such providers, the EI Network is not liable for their actions. As a member, you must assess the service, the provider, and any risk inherent in your participation. The decision to avail yourself of the service is yours and based on your analysis.
  7. As a member of the EI Network, you may elect to contract for service or work with another EI Network member. You accept all responsibility to assess the business relationship and accept all inherent risk in your participation. You agree not to hold the EI Network or Redeemer Presbyterian Church responsible in any way for such engagement.
  8. Violation of any of these policies will be terms for removal from membership in the EI Network. Any appeal against removal may be made to the Executive Board and reinstatement of membership may be made by a simple majority vote of the Board.
