Ei and its members are anticipating the results of the ongoing business plan competition, the changes to the monthly group meetings, the growth of the Ei Network and the Ei Forum moving to the new West 83rd Street building. OwnEnergy Inc. is a renewable energy development company located in Brooklyn, NY. Russell Laplante, an active member of the EI community, was a founding member of the OwnEnergy team in 2007. OwnEnergy develops utility scale wind energy projects that produce renewable, pollution free power for utilities and large electric consumers. The company’s first 100 megawatts will be constructed in 2012, including the one in Oklahoma which will be used to power Oklahoma State University for the next 25 years. Russ has been the lead developer for the last 3 years. [press release]. Collectively these projects will generate enough electricity to power 30,000 homes, create 300 jobs in rural communities across America, and inject $200mm of investment into the American economy.

For Russell, entrepreneurship is the process of taking a leap of a faith to build something that doesn’t yet exist which will make the world a better place for God’s people. Renewable energy is a form of stewardship - it will help keep the world clean and sustainable for future generations.

"GLIMPSE" LEADERS NEEDED!
The Glimpse events from our Gospel & Culture Conference in November created such a buzz that we just couldn't let them die! What's a Glimpse, you ask? A cultural event (1) based in New York City, (2) experienced in community, (3) which points toward evidence of God’s glory and sovereignty over all things. We are seeking 1 Glimpse per congregation per month starting in January. Spread the word and send your proposal to cfw@redeemer.com. To get an idea, view Glimpses from the conference HERE.

WEST SIDE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Starting in 2012, the West Side will add another Sunday service and hundreds of volunteers are needed! To serve one Sunday a month, email phoebe@redeemer.com
