Hello,

Do you ever feel like the important things in life get trumped by the urgent?  This is often the case for entrepreneurs.  Before the Christmas season gets crazier, please take time to write down the important things you need to do during the holidays (You probably already practice a similar exercise with your venture).  Then put these things on your calendar.

It takes great discipline to keep our priorities in check and not overlook worshipping God alongside his people (e.g., family, friends, and neighbors).  During this Advent season, be diligent in praising Him for His goodness, love and mercy.

Sincerely,

Calvin Chin

Tegu

Tegu, an inventive wooden toy company, was launched in 2009 by brothers Chris and Will Haughey. Tegu was purposefully established in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, with the intent of bringing living wage jobs to a country struggling under the weight of widespread poverty with over 30% unemployed. While not explicitly a Christian company, Tegu's founders are motivated by the other-oriented nature of the gospel of Jesus. Tegu's purpose reads: "Out of God's love for humanity, Tegu exists to bring hope, purpose and opportunity to the people of the developing world through the creation of enduring commercial profit."

Tegu has introduced a novel patent-pending toy using powerful magnets inside wood, creating the world's first magnetic wooden block building system. Tegu blocks can be found in North American retail stores and online at outlets including Tegu.com and Amazon.com. During the holidays, Tegu Live allows visitors to Tegu.com to request a Tegu Block Genius to create anything imaginable. Additionally, Tegu is offering 25% off its product line at Tegu.com with coupon code TeguFriendFamily25.

Certainly it’s an awkward question to respond to when we’re out of work. We often feel vulnerable to people who are far more successful than we are, especially if they flaunt it. But, otherwise, what’s so bad about being identified by our work?
