About Us

The Arts Ministry was founded in September 2004 as the first department within the Center for Faith & Work, the cultural renewal arm of the Redeemer movement, founded to equip, connect, and mobilize our church community in their professional and industry spheres toward gospel-centered transformation for the common good.

The founding program director of the Arts Ministry was Luann Jennings, who moved to CFW from the Worship & Music department, where she had worked for two years, and had begun several arts programs for artists of other disciplines including the Arts eNewsletter and a play development project that eventually became Threads Theater Company.

The first official program of the Arts Ministry was InterArts Fellowship, begun in January 2005. The Actors vocation group soon followed, and other vocation groups and programs were started from there. Our first Arts Month was in 2008, and the Culture Club grew quickly out of the successes of the first Arts Month.

Maria Fee joined the Arts Ministry staff in January 2007 as a visual arts and writing program coordinator, and our third staff member, Kenyon Adams, joined our team in January 2008.
